Natural History

by Ian August

Lucy, a paleoanthropology student, faces a barrage of emotional abuse from her mother and rushes to the embrace of an activist for comfort. When she gets pregnant, she is left with opposing advisors, and a terrifying decision. Natural History is an examination of identity and perception. At times comedic and dramatic, it is a nightmarish journey through time, space and memory, all to illustrate one woman's search for herself.
